Details

The details are pretty important to brides out there, so here's a separate page to put all our detail photos in instead of combining them into the ceremony and reception pages.

Ceremony decorations

Picture
We didn't need much in the way of ceremony decorations because of our beautiful venue. It was blooming with flowers. There was a fountain placed right behind where we stood and flowers all around, so we only decorated the chairs. We used white satin ribbon to attach a red gerbera daisy to each chair on the aisle. We also had red, white and blue flower petals sprinkled along the aisle, no aisle runner.

We had a program placed on each chair waiting for when the guests took their seats.

We  bought the programs at Michaels. There were 40 in pack for $39.99. The programs were elegant and simple and they weren't to difficult to print or put together.

The Cake and Cake Topper

Picture
The three tiered cake was made by Village Cake Shoppe. We purchased the cake topper online, custom. Our baker, Patrick, gave us a photo copy of our cake design he drew out and let us play with how the "ivy" and design on the sides would look. My Maid of Honor actually drew out the heart swirl pattern and that's what Patrick went off of.

The Cake topper was purchased here: http://www.miscaketops.com/samples/militaryexamples.htm for about $80. It is very similar to my husband's uniform and it looks much like him, not so much like me though!

Favors/place cards (escort cards)

Picture
We combined our favors and escort cards in one. The actual favor is a small glass jar filled with red white and blue jelly beans. It has a sticker on the lid with our names and wedding date.

The place card part is the attached piece. We took blue and red ribbon, as well as blue and red construction paper to make them. I used a business card as the size model. Then I cut out the paper with scrapbooking scissors for the fun shape. I took a liquid shiny silver pen and wrong the guest's first and last name on one side. On the other I wrote their table assignment. The cards were hole punched with a heart shaped whole punch with the ribbon laced through and tied onto the jars. I used red paper and blue ribbon for women, blue paper and red ribbon for the men.

We ordered this card box custom made off of Etsy.com

Table names and centerpieces

Picture
For our table names, we wanted to have some fun. So we picked out favorite sports names and I stenciled them onto red construction paper hearts. To give it some depth we made it double sided and put a blue heart in the middle to bring in all of our colors.

For the centerpieces we used one big round vase and filled it with blue rocks and submersible LED light. Then will filled it up about 3/4 of the way with water and put a white round floating candle. We attached a gerbera daisy to the outside of the vase with a thick satin red ribbon.

We also purchased round mirrors to set everything. To add more to it, I bought small round votives. These came in packs of 12 at Michaels. I took glitter glue and painted sides and covered them with red, blue or white glitter. I put five at each table, two red, two blue and one white to add sparkle and shine at each table.
